The first writing workshop I ever attended was taught by Jenny Crusie, and one of the things she discussed was story collaging. Hers are wondrous things, but then, she’s an artist.
I’m not very artistic, but here is the montage I made based on my first story, OVER EASY. I need to go back and revise that story, but I thought you might like to see the results of my first attempt. In Jenny’s case, hers are “collages” because they feature a variety of materials. Mine is only comprised of photos; hence “montage.” (A journalism teacher of mine drilled the difference into me many years ago.)
As you can tell by the title and the montage, OVER EASY is a story of love and lies and eggs in all their aspects, from Humpty Dumpty to fertilized eggs. I hope to get back to this story soon – I still like it.

I should probably update this more often, but I’m also blogging at a couple of other sites.
For news about what’s happening at B&N’s Mystery Book Club and for garden articles, check out The Mysterious Garden Muse.
For my random musings and occasional posts by others in my family, check out The Family Treethyme.
You already know I have a dark side — I write romantic suspense as well as lighter, contemporary romance. Do you remember that movie, The Three Faces of Eve? Well, I have a third “face,” too, because I sometimes write some pretty hot stuff under the pen name Anya Davis. She’s not published yet, either, but I wanted the name to be more than a placeholder until that happens. (I’m a positive thinker.) You can read Anya’s blogs here.
We’re on a summer hiatus right now, but normally you can also find me blogging at Romance: B(u)y the Book. I alternate with Michaela at Barnes & Noble’s Garden Variety blog, and you can ALWAYS find me at B&N’s Mystery Book Club.
Thanks to all of you who are following me – you rock!
